Be good to others. A lasting impression can help at the most unexpected times!
Cool Fortnine test…
On September 25th, 2017, I was notified that I was being layed off. My last day was to be Friday, September 29th. It wasn’t unexpected, a disappointing last quarter in some business units, some long time clients leaving, it all added up to a reduced workload and the company had to cut costs. I had seen the signs for a long while and, honestly? I expected it to happen sooner.
I enjoyed a nice ride through Lanaudière and the Mauricie yesterday…
From Berthierville to Saint-Barnabé, Charette, Saint-Paulin, Ste-Émilie-de-l’Énergie, Saint-Xénon and finally Saint-Michel-des-Saints.
Weather was perfect, and I enjoyed a nice diner at Saint-Michel-des-Saints’ Vieux Moulin à Scie.
Beautiful riding country!
In Saint-André-d’Argenteuil… Is that a Space-X outhouse?
No launch button, but lots of toilet paper!

On the recommendation of my hosts at Domaine Nature L&M, I’ll be back in September to catch the fall colors between Scottstown and Piopolis. I’ll publish my experiences then.
My cable connection is down. Good thing I have my LTE iPhone in hotspot mode as failover, otherwise I’d have to hunt for reliable internet wifi in the restaurants around here – and the only reliable ones are a half hour away…
With only a few days left until classes begin, let’s enjoy the relatively normal commute.
Within two weeks, it will be transit hell, yet again.
Commuters, prepare yourselves!
I know most will probably never hear it, but it is thought provoking…
À frais virés (Partis de zéro) song by Sylvain Lelièvre
Decades later, it still applies.
Pay less to sleep, keep more to enjoy your trip.
