GETTING CAMERA SHUTTER COUNT ON MAC

Are you planning to get used camera or you’re curious about the usage of your current one? On the Mac, it’s easy as pie to get the info.

On most recent OS X versions, Preview lets you get the information in a quick and easy way.

Step 1 – Transfer an image from the camera to your mac (using USB tethering or a card reader).

Step 2 – Open it with the Preview application.

Step 3 – Select the Show Inspector option in Preview, Click on the EXIF info tab and you’ll see the camera’s shutter count at the Image Number line near the bottom.

The inspector gives you more nifty information such as camera model, lens used, etc.
